Marco Van Basten one player whose career ended too short. Van Basten dealt with ankle problems throughout his career this persistent injury caused him to miss two years of football and forced him to retire at the young age of 30. Van Basten's short career saw him achieve so much in such a short time. His trophy cabinet consists of three Ballon d'Or's, 1988 Euro winner, won the Eredivisie three times, four Serie A titles, and three Champions League trophies. Van Basten was a deadly striker who scored 218 goals in 280 league appearances for Ajax and AC Milan.
Van Basten's rookie sticker is his 1982-83 Panini Voetbal No. 21, this was the only rookie sticker or card we found that year. His first senior international tournament was the 1988 Euro's, in which, Netherland's won. 1990 was his first World Cup appearance, the Netherlands would lose early on to West Germany.
